My main problem is that Lillian has had longer, uninterrupted and interesting conversations with St Vincent and her fellow Wallflowers than with Marcus.I developed an instantaneous liking for him in that book and needless to say this was yet another let down. Marcus - I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone but he's so boring!!! When I read Again The Magic I was pleasantly surprised by how the author characterised him. She was insanely stubborn and had nothing else to recommend her. Lillian Bowman - From what was given in the prologue, I assumed she was going to start some perfume business and I was sorely disappointed to find out nothing about that was discussed for the first half of the book (except of course the Magic Perfume 🙄). No matter how much I tried, I didn't find either of the MCs compelling enough to go through with it.
